What is stereo?

There are now two system of high fidelity, monophonic (monaural) and stereophonic. Monophonic is a system that starts from one microphone and is fed through a single high fidelity set. Stereophonic is a double system. Two separate microphones are placed at different sides of the orchestra and two different systems are used to keep the two signals or channels separated. Two separate speakers are used, placed on different sides of you room. Stereo is much like 3-D photography, two slightly different sound reach your ears giving you a new dimension in sound.

Pioneer CS-05

Excellent Directional properties
One of the most desirable features of the CS-05 is its 360° dispersion of sound, something that conventionnal speakers cannot provide.
The CS-05 incorporates an 8" woofer that faces downward, above a highly efficient diffuser, and three tweeters positioned to make the sound radiate in all directions.
This characterisctic permits you to enjoy really stereophonic in natural balance wherever in the room you may sit, without listening fatigue.

Newly Developed Cone Paper
A new process (the "FB" process) results in a harder, lighter paper, with longer fibres and greater stability. This improved cone paper results in clearer sound.

A Wide Range of Applications
The omnidirectional characteristic of the CS-05 gives it great versatility, when used in a home entertainment system or in public places, such as hotels or restaurants. It's perfect for listenable, unobtrusive background music, too.

Convenient Level Control
The level control for high frequency range provided on the bottom of the enclosure allows you to adjust the tonal quality to the room acoustic or to your taste.

Elegant, Natural Wood Styling
The enclosure is of high quality walnut. The CS-05 blends well with other furniture and its refined appearance adds a luxurious touch to any room.
