What is stereo?

There are now two system of high fidelity, monophonic (monaural) and stereophonic. Monophonic is a system that starts from one microphone and is fed through a single high fidelity set. Stereophonic is a double system. Two separate microphones are placed at different sides of the orchestra and two different systems are used to keep the two signals or channels separated. Two separate speakers are used, placed on different sides of you room. Stereo is much like 3-D photography, two slightly different sound reach your ears giving you a new dimension in sound.

Kenwood KA-1500

The fine quality of this integrated stereo amplifier has been achieved by the application of some of the most advanced technology known in the audio field. Total harmonic distortion, for example, is under 0,1% at full rated output. And ezch channel delivers a full 25 watts throughout the audio spectrum - from 20 to 20,000 Hz at 8 ohms - for rich, clean sound. Dynamic music power reaches 100 watts but for those who love music, quality comes first, and for crystal-clear room-filling beautiful sound, the KA-1500 has few rivals.
 High Power  and Low Distortion
Using fully complementary circuitry that's direct-coupled throughout, the KA-1500 delivers its power with a THD that is under 0,1% at all frequencies from 20-20,000 Hz. The high quality of sound achieved is evident not only at first hearing but also in the absence of "listening fatigue" after many hours of enjoyable music listening. Kenwood's non-compromise approach to designing has assured the high power and low distortion which characterizes the most expensive audio equipment.

Ideal for listening to the finest stereo records
With the high quality of modern stereo records, Kenwood engineers gave high priority to excellent record reproduction. The result is that the KA-1500 reproduces the RIAA curve that all record manufactures use with accuracy that is absolute to within ±0,5 dB. In addition, there is the same kind of high overload capacity that is ordinarily associated with the very finest audio components. This means no distortion even with high level orchestral climaxes.

Top  performance under demanding conditions
Long nonstop operation, changes in temperature and humidity are factors that can seriously affect performance. But KA-1500 has special features to perform beautifully at all times. Advanced, high-efficiency heat sinks, special heat compensation devices, and massive twin capacitors to stabilize the power supply are only a few of the many notables.
Facilities for two tape decks and dubbing
This advanced feature lets you record simultaneously on two tape decks. It also allows you to copy from one tape deck onto another.

Hi-Fi listening at night
The new loudness control compensates for the loss of fidelity that results at low volume listening. As a result, you can enjoy all the excitement of stereo with full fidelity.

Flexible and accurate tone controls
The KA-1500's new tone controls allow you to adjust the sound as you like it. You can increase or decrease the bass and treble independently to match the sound characteristics of your room and to get the very best out of your speakers.

Extra-large 41 clik stop volume control
The extra-large volume control knob means you can easily make fine adjustments to perfectly achieve the perticular level you prefer. The marked positions allow quick relocation of any previous setting.

Kenwood's famous "human engineering"
You will discover that all controls have been carefully placed for easy operation and designed for positive, instant action. The KA-1500 not only operates and looks like an excellent audio component, it also "feels" like the outstanding amplifier that it is.
